CSJ-903 Weatherproof Silicone Sealant for Curtain Wall

Characteristics

  CSJ-903 is a high-quality silicone sealant designed specifically for weatherproof curtain walls. Operation Method

1. Preparation:

Gather the necessary materials for the task, including tile sealant, an injection dispenser, texture paper, a knife, a gap cleaning awl, an edge pressing ball, a water scraper, and a materials scraper.

2. Processing:

a. Clean the tile gaps and apply the sealant directly to the grout.

b. Insert the cartridge into the dispenser.

Press the button to pull the rod out and open the cartridge, ensuring that the opening is facing upwards. Attach the mixer to the opening and adjust its size to fit the gap by cutting it accordingly (smaller than the gap).

c. Begin the process.

For beginners, it is recommended to remove the first 40cm of mixed sealant and practice injecting 20-50cm before increasing the length as needed.

Smooth the sealant using the water scraper, edge pressing ball, or even your finger. If there is any remaining sealant inside the dispenser, lay it flat and use a materials scraper to hold it under the opening of the mixer. If you notice any uneven areas, continue injecting the sealant.

Once all the gaps are smoothed, allow the sealant to stand for 8 hours (12 hours in winter).

Remove any excess sealant using a scraper.

Attention

1. Remove the first layer of mixed sealant, approximately 40cm in length, to ensure a clean application surface.

2. It is important to keep the sealant in the mixer opening for no longer than 20 minutes. This will prevent the sealant from hardening and becoming difficult to squeeze out. Be sure to prepare enough sealant in advance.

3. For gaps wider than 1.5mm, it is crucial to ensure that the underlying surface is flat and free from dirt or debris. This will ensure a proper seal.

4. The sealant will typically fully harden after 12 hours. However, in colder temperatures, it may take longer. It is normal for the sealant to cure slower during winter months.

5. If the sealant cannot be used all at once, it is important to clean the mixer opening thoroughly and recap the sealant. Store it in a cool place for up to 12 months. When reusing, replace the opening with a new one.
